Having been on the musical scene for over 30 years, La Follia instrumental ensemble possesses a rich repertoire and is particularly known for offering its audience old classics and different genres whilst always endeavouring to respect the music’s authenticity.

 


Below is a brief summary of the programme:

Concerts/events

Anniversaries, commemorations, homages. These are some of the current and forthcoming well-known events:

  • 2008 : 90th anniversary of the 1918 armistice

Homages paid to composers

Homage is paid to one or several masters of music in a single programme which usually includes another modern composer’s work:

Different forms of artistic expressions can be seen in La Follia’s concerts, accompanied by projections and dance:

  • With a coffee (Bach - Finzi - Mouret)
  • Poetry and music at the beginning of the 20th century (Britten -  Respighi - Schoenberg - Lekeu)
  • Words and music (Sauguet - Françaix)
  • Charles Burney’s musical voyage in Europe of light, concert/reading, production 2009 (Tartini - Gallupi - Hasse- Haydn- Stamitz - Mozart)
  • Astrophonia, concert/conference with the participation of Hubert Reeves (Maratka - Bartok)
  • Vauban, music and images, concert/projection (Lully – Delalande – Biber – Telemann – Zbinden – Barber - Stravinski)

In order to better meet your expectations, La Follia invites you to create your own programme from the pieces of the repertoire:
